Multi award-winning gospel artist Sipho ‘Big Fish’ Makhabane has decided to end his career as a recording artist. A revered singer, songwriter and record producer, Makhabane will bow out in style at a star-studded concert in Pretoria where he will shoot a live DVD with songs from his previous albums.
The popular singer will be joined on stage by gospel songstress, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, who will also be shooting a live DVD of her acclaimed hits. Other gospel singers billed to entertain audiences over the two-day event include, Winnie Mashaba, Tshepiso Motaung, Benjamin Dube, Thobekile and Pastor Ncanda.
Makhabane told daily newspaper, Sowetan that his decision to stop recording came as a result of him wanting to focus more on producing and expanding his business empire. “Ebenezer was my last album. I have many artists now who need my attention and I have to focus on promoting and growing those artists.” he explained.
A source said Makhabane now has a lot of responsibilities to take charge of. Late last year, he bought Swaziland’s television channel, Channel Swazi ( Channel S) and in addition to that, he runs his two stables; Big Fish Music and Amanxusa Music.
Makhabene fans will still be able to see him in action at various gospel events as he will continue performing at festivals and concerts.
The much-awaited concert will take place on February 27 and 28, 2010 at the State Theatre in Pretoria. Tickets for the show cost R120.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

This cheap coach bags is brown, too. Brown is a favorite color by woman always. It shows the mutual style properly. Not too less or too much. That is it!
