World-renowned American evangelists Bishop TD Jakes and Bishop Noel Jones will once again be sharing the stage in South Africa. They will be spreading the word of God tomorrow (8 September) at Soweto’s Orlando Stadium , where they will present a “dynamic, full-day convention offering transformative spiritual, personal and business insights to tens of thousands of delegates.”
“This event follows on the highly successful 2008 Mega Fest, where the bishops shared a message of change with a 100 000 strong crowd,” explains ‘It’s Your Time’ Convention spokesperson Thami Ngubeni of Thamzin Media – the organiser of the event.
Since launching his MegaFest in Atlanta, USA six years ago, TD Jakes has reached out to millions of people across the world. His debut MegaFest drew an overall record-breaking attendance of 560 000, with an economic impact of up to $125 million on the city.
Twice featured on the cover of Time magazine as “America’s Best Preacher” and as one of America’s “25 most influential evangelicals”, Bishop T. D. Jakes leads more than 30,000 members of The Potter’s House in Dallas. He first visited Africa in1995 and since then, he has toured a host of African countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and South Africa.

I would love to see Pastor Benjamin Dube, Pastor Mthunzi Number, Pastor Keke, Dr Rebecca Malope, Pastoress Debs Fraser hahaha, Moroti Winnie Mashaba, Moroti Solly Moholo, Pastor Sipho Makhabane, Moroti Mzet, Mfundisi Lundi, Pastor Solly Mahlangu, Pastor Elle, Pastor Zwai Bala, Pastor Lindelani Mkhize all preach in the same venue for the whole day. They must perform miracles too. NO SINGING, we’ve heard enough of their voices. We must see who’re not equipped in the Word of God.

I bet half of the people that went there, have forgotten the message God had for them through TDJ and other pastors. So what was the craze all about then?
Honestly speaking, if three or four SA pastors held an all-night crusade at Orlando Stadium (paying a R400-R100 ticket), only the members of their churches would up and go to the venue.
So, what do we call it? Is it still love for the anointed ones of God?
SA people wake up, these pastors are just as anointed as the pastors in SA.

i still am saying i feel very jelouse but stil in a good way why must they only go to Gauteng – why i am hungry for what the bishops are going to share in that stage again, i agree with Anonimas, lets support our fellow Pastors they are as gifted as the ones thats comming abroad. I also feel they are not making much effect as well because we only know they of their singing not their preaching, if they could for one day and night come “basidlise izi” then i will say bigg ups.

Pauline and Anonimas I do agree. I suspect there isn’t much love flowing in South Africa especially in the gospel music industry. Everyone is the lover of himself/herself- which the bible preaches against. I already know that Pastor Keke will not stage with Rebecca or Kholeka. I already know that Winnie Mashaba wont stage with Deborah Frazer or Solly Moholo with Solly Mahlangu. Where you see Keke, you must see Solly. Where you see Benjamin, you must see Margaret. There is so much favouritism. And such is not Christ-like. Its very disappointing indeed. You must see them in festivals when they meet and greet one another. You can tell that they are just faking it. How is it that the pagans of the music industry can feature and support each other, yet thina Makholwa we are up against each other? Sies!
