Gospel Alive concert, recorded live at the University of Witwatersrand Great Hall, is a brilliant showcase for the group’s onstage show. As a live recording, the band takes the audience on a musical marathon which consists of soulful gospel and up tempo songs, featuring music greats such as Pastor Benjamin Dube, Sharon Dee and Margaret Motsage, to name a few.
The project opens with an introduction in which people are welcomed to the first ever Gospel Alive live recording. Without wasting anytime, ‘Umbhedesho’ kicks off the project, giving the audience a taste of what to expect throughout. On this one, the band offers a nice vocal approach which is supported by organ keys and later joined by drums and trumpet.
‘Khona Lena’ carries so much positive energy in such a way that it makes you feel as though you are part of the recording. The song simply takes a listener off their seats to praising the name of the mighty lord. If you happen to know the song, it won’t take long before you start singing with the band.
There is a song, ‘Elikhwezi’ in which the group offer the audience pure singing without any musical instruments to support. If you become emotional as the song plays, don’t hide it, let it out because this one is bound to touch every human soul. Gospel Alive offers great compositions supported by simple yet powerful musical instrumentation like, piano, bass guitar and electric guitar on the songs, ‘Sweet Anointing’, ‘Mighty God’, ‘Do Not Pass Me By’ and ‘God Is Here’.

To whom concerning. My name is Neo Douse, 22 year old born again young man, who lives to Worship & Praise God Trinity almighty with all he has. I was fortunate to view the Gospel Alive Choir in 1Gospel/DSTV. I must say, job well done *SPEECHLESS*. I have though encounted a huge trouble finding the CD or DVD in most of the music stores here in Cape Town. Called some family and friends in Joburg, still no luck. Please help. I feel the need for that album in my collection, most specially in my spirit life. Please help. And should be interested in the membership, how does a person join? Would love to be part of such a great, powerful ministry. Please help i appeal. Kind regards.

Eish…Nna leina la me ke Tshepo. I have seen a glimpse of the concert (Gospel Alive), I was overtaken. I love the vocal arrangement on the whole repertoire. Those guys know what they are doing.
I am still trying to get myself a copy. But hey, these people do move with God. I was blessed.

I watched the DVD on dstv and I was so touched. That was great guys proudly South African . i would say job well done . I am in Witbank and I am struggling to get the cd or DVD since 2010. I tried Pretoria, Joburg ,Rustenburg and Nelspruis still no luck . I need this for my collection

I have learned result-oriented things as a result of your site. One other thing I want to say is always that newer pc operating systems are inclined to allow extra memory for use, but they furthermore demand more storage simply to work. If people’s computer is not able to handle a lot more memory plus the newest computer software requires that ram increase, it could be the time to buy a new Laptop or computer. Thanks
