A line-up of 24 gospel bands will perform for gospel music lovers at the second JoL5ooo Gospel music Festival, to be held in DeWild in October this year.
The three-day event is organised by the Christian Friendship Community in a bid to create opportunities for unsigned Christian bands, as well as to raise funds for a soon-to-be opened life skills centre.
Festival organiser, Adrian Styer, says event-goers will be treated to an exhilarating fusion of up-tempo music from all genres of gospel music, as well as small workshops to be conducted by powerful motivational speakers. “It’s a Woodstock style event with camping, bush showers and lots of cool bands and things to do,” says Styer.
“We at the Christian Friendship Community minister largely to people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and our vision is to start a life skills college to help guys coming out of the cycle of addiction to get back on their feet,” adds Styer.
Styer says the Christian Friendship Community is not only trying to attract youth, but would like to see the young and old coming to enjoy a weekend full of music, worship, fellowship, powerful messages and great fun.

Hi Adrian Just want to know a bit more about the camping facilities. Is it in a caravan park Like with toilets and running water. Can a caravan be set up ie level grass patch. Will there be other people with caravans or tents. Food do you bring your own or must you buy from the group. Is there a charge for the camp site and how much.

It was so! cool! it was my 1st “clean” Jol I have been to! The Holy Spirit’s Presence was so overwhelming. I so wanted share the “Vibe” with people.that don’t know it! It was such a Pleasing/Joy,I felt! being in presence of continuous,Praise and Worshiping to our Heavenly Father, by believers,it’s was a Flooding and Cleansing, so so enjoyable, …..Thank you for the arranging another, Blessed weekend, let me know if there is anything, I can assist with AD, be Blessed
