Award-winning songstress, Swazi Dlamini is set to take her acclaimed ‘Gospel meets Jazz’ concert to Port Elizabeth for the first time ever on the 12th of September. The increasingly popular concert will once again feature a start-studded line-up drawn from the Gospel and Jazz scenes.
Swazi will be joined on stage by Siphokazi, Ntokozo Mbambo and Psalms & Songs for a night never to be forgotten.
This year, the concert celebrates its first anniversary after a memorable debut in May last year.
Gospel Meets Jazz was launched in Durban on the 3rd of May last year by husband and wife team Swazi Dlamini and Tshepo Mngoma through their company Swazitainment Productions.
Since then it has quickly grown into a notable event on the local gospel events calendar, despite having been mooted chiefly for the discovery of new KZN gospel talent. In the past year, Swazi has hosted both established and up and coming artists, including Ernie Smith, Andile Mseleku, Xolisa Dlamini, Psalms & Songs, among others.
This year the concert is stepping up its efforts to bring fresh talent on the stage and gospel lovers will be dazzled by new Kwaito gospel artist, Sir J Africa.
