Up-and-coming Musician, Gospel Mark Silinda releases debut album

Author: Eddie Hatitye

Up-and-coming musician, Gospel Mark Silinda from Mpumalanga, says his debut album will turn the local music industry upside down this year. Performing under the name El Mariachi, the young man will be releasing a 15-track afro-soul album titled ‘Finding Love’ that is “filled with jazz and gospel undertones”.

A son of a pastor and session guitarist, El Mariachi’s music is closely linked to love and gospel themes. He says music lovers will be thrilled with the mature massage on his debut full-length studio recording, as well as his golden voice.

“Faith comes by hearing the word of truth, so let your faith in love be restored as you listen to this powerful message of love and the overall spirit of Ubuntu”, he says.

El Mariachi says he was forced into singing by his parents at a very tender age and ended up heading Vaal University of Technology’s SCO mass choir in his tertiary days. As his love for music grew, he co-founded a music group called Impact, later to be known as Connection. Now that he is going solo, he believes it’s his time to shine.

“One can only expect to be blown away with the vast amount of talent invested in this album,” he adds.
